Old Town Atelier Parfums — Founder’s Story

I have always believed that fragrance is one of the purest forms of respect — a silent gesture of consideration toward others, and at the same time a deeply personal art. Scents have followed me throughout life as invisible signatures of moments, places, and people.

Despite a lifelong appreciation for perfume, I never found the fragrance I truly wanted to call my own.

Something was always missing — too familiar, too predictable, too close to something already known. Many perfumes were beautiful, even exceptional, yet rarely unforgettable. I kept searching for the kind of scent that makes you instinctively turn your head — the fleeting moment when time seems to pause as someone passes by, carrying quiet confidence and effortless elegance.

Eventually, I understood that if I could not find it, I would have to create it.

The idea grew slowly. Creation began long before the first formula was written — through observation, curiosity, and a desire to craft something original, something with soul.

Porvoo’s Old Town became the natural birthplace of this vision. Its cobblestone streets, unhurried rhythm, and timeless atmosphere embody the qualities I believe perfume should possess: character, depth, and permanence. A place where nothing feels rushed and everything carries a story.

Old Town Atelier Parfums was born from this spirit.

I create fragrances in small batches, guided by intuition and experimentation rather than trends. Each composition is built from the ground up — not to replicate or reinterpret what already exists, but to become something entirely its own.

I want to compose perfumes that express strength without noise and elegance without effort — fragrances with presence, the kind that subtly transform the air around a self-assured person.

For myself, I continue creating the fragrance I once searched for: personal, distinctive, and authentic.

This house exists for those who value individuality over imitation, and artistry over convention — for those who believe perfume is not merely worn but expressed.
